Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, actress, American stage and screen actress and producer. Her most well-known work is as a film actress due to her roles in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She received an B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a writer and American actor who is active in theater, television and film. Her acting journey began with theater, and was later featured in numerous TV shows and independent as well as mainstream films. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received high praise but also received a host of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. She started her career as an actress in 1995 as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. The actress has appeared in Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her most well-known work is her roles in the films Men of Honor and The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In television, her role on ABC's drama about police High Incident is well known.
