
Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18th, 1980)[1] is an American actress and singer. When she began her acting career as a stage actor at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, Bell made her Broadway stage debut in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Bell also performed in the Broadway revival of The Crucible the year after. After starring in the action-thriller Spartan (2004) and Gracie's Choice (2004), she received praise for her performance in Gracie's Choice (2004). Then, she made her Broadway stage debut as Becky thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Then she was cast as a character in the teen drama television series Veronica Mars (2004). Her performance received critical acclaim and a Saturn Award nomination for Best Actress on TV. In the 2014 film she reprised her character in the role of the main character and in the reboot of the series in 2019, she reprised her role. While on Veronica Mars, Bell starred in the role of Mary Lane in the musical film Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005) The film was a reprise of the role she had performed in the New York musical of the same name.Bell played the role of Elle Bishop in the superhero drama series Heroes from 2007 until the year 2008. Bell was the voice of the titular narrator on the popular Teen Drama series Gossip Girl. She will reprise the role in the sequel in 2021. Bell was also on the show as Jeannie van der Hooven the female lead on the Showtime comedy series House of Lies. Bell was the main character of Eleanor Shellstrop on the critically well-reviewed NBC comedy series The Good Place, receiving a Golden Globe Award nomination for her role. Bell was also the lead character of the streaming series The Woman in the house Just across the street from The Girl in the Window.
